• 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

• 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

• 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste

• 1 cup beef broth

• 1/2 cup red wine

• 1 teaspoon dried oregano

• 1 teaspoon dry virgin

• 1 teaspoon of salt

• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

• Fresh Lasagna Sheets 1 lb

• 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

• 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

• 2 cups béchamel sauce (recipe below )

 The Béchamel Sauce :

• 4 tablespoons butter

• 4 tablespoons flour

• 2 cups of milk

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

• In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.

• Add the ground beef and pork to the pan and sauté until browned, about 10 minutes.

• Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, red wine, oregano, basil, salt and pepper to the pan. Mix and let cook. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.

• While the sauce is simmering, prepare the béchamel sauce. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add flour and stir until smooth. Gradually add milk and stir constantly. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and add salt, pepper and nutmeg.

• To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the freshly cooked lasagne sheets on the meat sauce. Spread a layer of béchamel sauce on the pasta sheets and then sprinkle a layer of meat sauce on top. Sprinkle grated mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Repeat these layers until you reach the top of the casserole dish.

• Cover the lasagna with foil and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

• Before serving, let the lasagna sit for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the sauce to set and flavor. Enjoy hot!

Here are some substitutes!

• Meat: If you prefer, you can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef or pork. You can also make a vegetarian version with tofu and vegetables like zucchini and eggplant.

• Sauce: If we don't have beef broth or red wine, we can use chicken or vegetable broth instead. Instead of tomato passata, you can use canned tomatoes or fresh diced tomatoes.

• Cheese: If you don't have mozzarella or parmesan cheese, you can use any other good melting cheese, such as B. Cheddar or Monterey Jack.

• Salad: Pair lasagna with a simple green salad tossed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for a balanced meal.
