Softshell Crab Burger Recipe

When it comes to burgers, everyone has their own favorite. But have you ever tried a softshell crab burger? If you haven't, then you're in for a treat! Softshell crab is a delicacy that is often overlooked but when combined with a juicy burger patty, it creates a taste explosion that is sure to satisfy any burger lover's craving. In this blog post, we'll be sharing a simple yet delicious softshell crab burger recipe that you can make at home.

Recipe Tips:

Before we get into the recipe, here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your softshell crab burger:

• Use fresh softshell crab - Fresh crab will have a better flavor and texture compared to frozen crab. Look for crab that is still alive and active, and make sure to clean it thoroughly before cooking.

• Don't overcook the crab - Softshell crab cooks quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Overcooking will cause the crab to become tough and chewy.

• Season your burger patty - A good burger patty should be seasoned well to enhance the flavor. Use your favorite seasoning mix or make your own.

• Choose the right bun - Softshell crab burgers are best served on a soft bun that can soak up the juices and hold all the toppings.

Now that we've covered some tips, let's move on to the recipe:

Ingredients:

• 4 softshell crabs, cleaned and patted dry

• 1 cup lettuce, shredded

• 1 cup tomato, sliced

• 1/2 cup mayonnaise

• 1/4 cup sriracha sauce

• 2 tbsp vegetable oil

• In the same skillet, add the cleaned and patted dry softshell crabs. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

• In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce.

• To assemble the burger, spread the mayonnaise-sriracha sauce mixture on both sides of the bun. Add a burger patty on the bottom bun, followed by a softshell crab, lettuce, and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

• Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make three more burgers.
