• 2 pounds bone-in chicken pieces     • (breast, thigh, or whole chicken)

• 8 cups chicken broth

• 2 glasses of water

• 2 cups chopped carrots

• 2 cups chopped celery

• 1 cup chopped onion

• 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

• 2 bay leaves

• 1 teaspoon dry thyme

• 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

• 8 ounces egg noodles

• salt and pepper to taste


Instructions 


• 1st step - Place the chicken pieces in a saucepan along with the water, chicken broth, carrots, celery, onions, garlic, bay leaves, thyme and rosemary. Bring broth to a boil over medium-high heat. Then reduce heat and simmer broth for 45–60 minutes or until chicken is tender.

• 2nd step - Remove the chicken from the pan and let cool slightly. You should Remove the meat from the bone and cut into bite-sized pieces.

• 3rd step - Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles al dente according to package directions.

• 4th step - Add the shredded chicken and cooked noodles back to the soup. Season with salt and pepper.

• 5th step - Let the soup simmer for another 5-10 minutes, then remove the bay leaves and serve.
